Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is my favorite holiday because I am Irish and because today is my 10th wedding anniversary. Tonight we are having corned beef and cabbage cooked in the crock pot with carrots, potatos, and Guiness. So delicious!

I hope you all enjoy your day and may the luck of the Irish be on your side!

Meeting Tim Holtz

Just a week ago I had the pleasure of meeting and taking a class with Tim Holtz. I work for this amazing company (called Archiver's) and they brought him in for our managers meeting. The whole experience was truly unbelievable. We made 4 tags and a necklace all of which will end up framed in my scrap room. Here are some photos from the event.

Finally, I'm back...

with some cards.

Just a couple quick ones to share. I went to a crop a few weeks ago and spent it making cards. I was really too sick to be there (even though i had a great time) so I didn't get as much done as I would have liked to.
I adore this Harry Potter digital stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. I used Copic Markers and the new Creative Imaginations Harry Potter paper. There will be more of these coming because I also bought Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore and Hagrid. I just couldn't resist.

I'll be back in a few days (promise) with a few more cards.
Have a great day!

A new year of new intentions...

I don't like the idea of resolutions. I fail at them.
A friend of mine suggested New Year Intentions and I like that.
So this year I intend to be a blogger, I can't even say a better blogger because I truly haven't been one since the beginning.
My plan is to post once a week and to do my best to include something creative.
Bear with me, after all it is only an intention! :)

My other intentions:
Exercise and get healthy
Get finances in order and grow savings account
Be a better friend and a better daughter
Eat more ice cream (which may interfere with number 1 but so be it).

Have a great day.
I'll be back next week with something creative!

Back, for now...

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable weekend.
I think my New Years resolution will be to give this blog the attention that I intended to give it when i started it. I will try and get back next week with some new projects I have been working on. Until then here are some cards I have created in the last few months. I am afraid I don't remember the products I used on most of these. Sorry.

Kitty Cat Book Marks

I made these little corner bookmarks as a donation to Animal Outreach to sell at the Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. Although it was a couple months ago I wanted to share them. All my bookmarks sold and made money for the organization! :) I used a couple different kitty papers from my stash and copic markers. I am afraid I don't remember who made the stamp, I got it out of a bulk stamp bin at an expo this past summer.

New Project-Caitlin's Banner

I just completed this banner that I made for my Goddaughter Caitlin. The banner fabric is actually a canvas book by Maya Road. Each one is sprayed lightly with a different color of Glimmer Mist then I sewed on a piece of paper cut from the Sizzix Banner die cut. Each one has it's own 'personality' with different embellishments.

Back with a new card!

I love this new card I made. The phrase stamp is by Tim Holtz, the background paper was found in my stash, the girl stamp is from The Greeting Farm, the raindrops are from Michael's and she is colored in with Copic markers. I also added glossy accents to the umbrella.

I also tried this card coloring the girl in black and white (grays) to make the pink umbrella stand out. I think it turned out well but it would have been stronger if the umbrella was in red or yellow.

I sure hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Weekend.
Be back soon...promise!
