Some Layouts

I got a photo to upload, what do you know. Unfortunately my computer is only allowing me to upload one, i guess that's better than none.

We went to Disney in December and this is from that book that i am still working on.
Joel and i walked around some of the different hotels that we hadn't been to before. This is (obviously) the Grand Floridian, beautiful hotel, but a little too stuffy for me, i am more an Animal Kingdom kind of girl.

This one's for Jenn...

It's been awhile and i am sorry. I have been on here almost everyday trying to get my photo's to upload but i am still having issues. I am really getting angry. I have tried resizing, taking photo's with different camera's, all kinds of stuff but nothing is working. I swear I am not stupid.

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend. I had to work on Saturday but on Sunday I got to spend the day with two dear friends of mine. Jenn and Wendy who I have known for about 14 years (holy crap, i feel old). We went to Hannah's in Antioch and then drove into Wisconsin, went to the mushroom farm on Hwy 50 and then into Lake Geneva. Jenn had never been there before so i thought it would be fun to walk around. The day was beautiful but the town was crowded (duh, holiday weekend). It took us forever to find parking then when we finally did just as we started our walk my shoe broke. The sole started coming off the cork platform (Birkenstock's) and kept making a flapping sound every time i stepped. Very annoying!

We had a nice day. Ooh...if you ever go to Caribou Coffee you must try the White tea and Peach blended beverage. Yum, yum, yum and only about 250 calories in the medium. I am now craving this drink and of course there aren't any convenient Caribou's around us. Oh well.

I have to work tonight and then we have inventory tomorrow...super yuk!

Only 20 days til Hilton Head!

American Idol

YEAH! I am so happy that David Cook won Idol last night. He is so talented and charismatic. I am sure he will have a great career. Go David.

I have been trying to upload some photos from Sunday when Joel and i went to Fair Diddley in Woodstock. I will keep trying because we got some neat stuff.

Later.

What do you mean money doesn't grow on trees...

because I've been spending it like it does!

What a week of fun!

First last week i got a package from Hambly Screen Prints (my bargain of the century), 25 overlays for $25. That is a $75 value. There are some great overlays and i can't wait to play with them.

Then on Wednesday my Mom came to visit and we went shopping in Woodstock. I got some adorable little glass blown birds and two more CatStudio glasses to add to my small collection.
I love these so much, i now have Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, Vermont, Ireland, and California, all places that mean something to me.

On Saturday my friend Ann and I went on a scrapbook shopping road trip to Wisconsin. We went to 5 store and got lots of great stuff. Here are some of my finds:

Some fabulous paper from Sassafras Lass

New Pirate paper from Creative Imaginations (this is gonna be great for our next Disney Cruise in September)

Pirate Chipboard
Too much fun stuff!

Long time...

It's been a while since i've blogged, i almost forgot my password. I have been so frustrated with not being able to get my photos to post that i just give up. I wish i knew more about computers and all this crazy stuff.

So not much going on around here. Only 40 days till we leave for Hilton Head. I can't wait i really need a vacation.

So I've been thinking a lot about the fact that i am turning 40 in 6 months and 3 days. There is so much that i have experienced in my life and quite a bit i have missed out on. But, lets keep this light...

Things from my childhood and young adulthood that i miss...
  1. Nick Gilder (Hot Child in the City-seriously my favorite song of all time, oh Nick where are you?
  2. Turntables (Record players-i don't know about you, but i liked that scratchy low quality kind of sound).
  3. Imagination (Oh, i still have an imagination, i imagine myself skinny all the time. I remember when the stairs to our basement were my Barbie's 15 story town house, and i have played Pirate Ship with Monet where her stairs were the ship...it's a beautiful thing).
  4. Speaking of skinny, how about guilt free eating and endless energy, oh how i mess thee both.

Here are a couple things i don't miss...

  1. Day-Glo clothing and jelly shoes (what were we thinking).
  2. Dating (i swear i will never do that again).
  3. Making my bed (i didn't really do that unless i was ordered too and i don't do it now).
  4. Fighting with my brother (we used to fight like cats and dogs but now we get along, i am thankful for that).

I am sure i will think of more things that i miss and don't miss, but this is all for now.

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's (isn't that cute, i do still have an imagination, i imagine that people are actually reading this blog).

Bye.
